LOL DUDE. ur smart too XDDDD OOOO I KNOW THIS ONE >DDDD *raises hand and waves it around like no tomorrow* it's like basically erm when u sing high so like ur voice kinda changes?? //orz like when u sing normally, it should sound something like ur talking voice (unless ur trying to mimic something) but like when you start going a bit too high out of ur "comfort zone" then ur voice starts to become more airy and harder to control?? (it really depends on you) u can basically tell when u use a head voice and ur normal voice^^ (there should be a BIG difference...) //orz sorry, im a bad teacher QAQ

Resonances and registration aside, "head voice" usually means "high notes that are not falsetto or strained."
"The falsetto voice—with its characteristic breathy, flute-like sound relatively free of overtones—is more limited than its modal counterpart in both dynamic variation and tone quality. The term falsetto is most often used in the context of singing to refer to a type of vocal phonation that enables the singer to sing notes beyond the vocal range of the normal or modal voice."
When you sing in head voice, it feels like it's resonating in your head. That's it. Technically they're not the same thing. If you're straining the notes and they're airy and weak, that's falsetto. If you can hit them with the same power as your comfortable notes, that's head voice.

Oh, okay. Hurhur. :U I don't think I can sing in head voice, then. \o/ ( I don't think I can tell whether it's resonating or not . . . ? ) /voice just cracks //or goes to falsetto
Unless my 'cute' is head voice, but I doubt it.

Haha Cherri<3 I blame my mom for the way my voice turned out. I grew up listening to Reba McEntire<3 And Meepy, part of learning to sing is learning to go to head voice instead of falsetto. Don't worry, I can't do it yet either. I can sing like three notes in head voice before switching. And they don't seem like notes that I should have to switch for. They're not that high. The resonating part is hard to explain. When you sing normal notes you should feel it kind of...vibrating...in your chest. /trying not to use the word resonate. In head voice, it's the same feeling, only in your head. /orz can't explain.
