Hey guys,

Sorry to interject with something more serious, but I wasn't really sure where else to put this.

I think that unfortunately, in the near future, I'm going to have to quit ZAK. I've enjoyed my time here, but I do have a lot of stuff going on in my life right now that I need to take care of, and I guess that I'm not entirely getting out of this experience what I had hoped for. In particular, the environment isn't as collaborative as I thought it would be.

I will, of course, complete any lines I have already been assigned unless someone takes issue with this. On the offchance that ZAK makes it through to the next round of the chorus battle, I will be willing to participate in that as well since I have already committed myself. I'm just not really sure I would like to continue making commitments beyond that, since I have quite a heavy workload as is and not being able to have any input in how much and what sort of workload I have coming from here may just be too much for me to handle this year.

I wish you all the best in continuing with the chorus. While it was not quite my cup of tea, I was honored to have the opportunity to work with all of you and I hope to potentially work with some of you again in the future. I hope you guys have lots of success and tons of fun!

If you have questions or comments on this especially with respect to this causing difficulties for the chorus group, please feel free to let me know about your concerns, either publically or privately. I will certainly try to take them into consideration.

We'll certainly miss you, Kitsu. But your other obligations are important, and I'm glad that you're willing to come back and continue for possible later rounds of the competition rather than letting us down.

I also will say that some of the things you mentioned are things I've been unhappy with myself, so no need to feel bad about that.

As for causing difficulties with the chorus, I don't think it'll be a problem. There are others here who would be willing to take your lines for the ones you've already been encoded into.
(I wonder if that's part of what you have issues with, because if it is, I can relate.) Of course, I'm not in a leadership position here, so I can't say for certain whether it will cause problems or not.

Regardless, what you need to do and what you want to do is more important than sticking with something for the sake of others. So if you feel you need to leave us, we'll understand and none of us can rightfully be upset with you for that.

I'm sorry ZAK wasn't what you were looking for, but thank you for singing with us, no matter how short-lived it was! Maybe we'll meet again someday. And if we don't, I wish you the best of luck in everything that you do. : )

Thank you guys for your support. I want to emphasize that my issues are my own especially with school work and such... I have no issues with any of you and I really don't want you to think that! I would absolutely love to work with any and all of you in the future when I have more time (for example, I have duets planned with ham for some time in the future). If you ever want to sing something with me just let me know! You may just have to be patient with me as far as when things actually get done...

I am sure I can find time to record for Mrs. Pumpkin (though I may need help picking out my solo lines... I hear where they are but am having a really hard time picking out the exact notes) and Alice since they are due after my fall break when I will have enough time to record both of them. If you would prefer to sub someone new in for me, that is also prefectly fine and understandable.

I think the reason the chorus didn't work out for me is that it feels like certain members of leadership are being a bit controlling/dominating of everything the chorus does (though maybe this is just me who feels this way)? I had hoped to be able to have more input as to what songs we do, how lyrics are broken up, etc. It seems however at this point that mainly one person is calling the shots on all of this as far as picking songs and assigning lyrics and speaking for everyone. While I understand that we do need some leadership for organizing things so that stuff actually gets done, I expected it to be more providing guidance and leadership rather than being the leaders who get to decide on everything. I feel like even when I try to voice my opinion or offer input, it is sometimes dismissed and it seems from what I have read in some threads on the forums that this has happened to others as well (even among the leadership itself).

It may be just me who feels this way. I haven't really talked with anyone else about this, so maybe I am just crazy or overly stressed/sleep deprived and thus too sensitive about things.

Again, I would love to work with you guys again. If anyone wants to duet or something like that, feel free to contact me. Thank you all again for considering me in the first place, for your well wishes, for taking me seriously, and for singing with me. I hope no one takes offense at me voicing my thoughts. >.<

I wish you luck in college and life! <3 I kind of know how stressful and busy it is to be a college/university student, because my brother is one. He's gone all day, and doesn't come back until late in the night.
