Coz like, I've always had this impression of Kaito being old. And stupid. Blame all those FFs that make him seems so dumb.

Kaito is dumb. Not stupid. Dumb. He's kind of blond but not really. And he doesn't understand the world the way others do.
He's childish. And naive.
Len, on the other hand, is more mature than people give him credit for. He's only 14, so he's still a kid, but he's...yeah. More mature than you think. Thus, he has exactly the right balance of little-kid and grown-up to be perfectly matched with Kaito. Anyone else would take advantage of poor little-kid-in-a-man's-body. Meiko is abusive, Gakupo is a rapist, Miku is a divaprincessbiatch, et cetera, et cetera.

Now, I know what you're going to say. But Sake! How can that be, when Kaito is always seme?
Well I'll tell you.
As any well-read KaiLen fangirl would know, Kaito is never raep!seme. He's always nervous I-don't-want-to-hurt-my-poor-darling-Len seme.
And he's also all scared because he has no idea what he's doing.
So Len has to take at least some control, so they kind of share the role.
Plus Kaito is not always seme.

And I also see Kaito as being hesitant to express his feelings for Len BECAUSE of Rin.
Because he's afraid to tear them apart.

I personally really like the idea of Kaito,
